She's NOT What You Think She Is

She belong to both worlds
Hers and yours
She plays different roles in two different worlds.

In your world, she is the happiest person alive on earth
In her world, she does not remember when she last smiled.

In your world, she is a survivor and a fighter
In her world, she gave up before the actual war started.

The demons of past visit her everyday
In your world, it's story of yesterday.

Acceptance is what she seek from both worlds
Acceptance to be perfectly imperfect SHE …!!!

  6. It is painful to have to hide one's true self and feelings from others-to pretend to be something one is not in order to be accepted.

  9. I like your poem. I think we all use our blogs as a positive outlet - but everyone knows life isn't always a box of fluffy ducks! (as we say here in NZ) Kia kaha, Shainee

  10. Woman are strong and complex, and with all the pressures society puts on women it makes it difficult for us to be ourselves sometimes. I also feel like women are often thought to be one dimensional and so I really liked the duality of the female in this poem.

  12. Really beautiful, but also sad somehow...I guess everyone can associate oneself with this lovely poem in some kind of way. It´s hard to play only one role in two worlds.
